WIE Orientation

WIE Orientation is an immersive preparation program for women who are new first-year and transfer students in engineering majors (including Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and CS + X). Participate in optional virtual pre-orientation mentoring sessions before joining us on campus for a two-day program where you will build connections with other women in engineering and plug into the robust system of people, resources, opportunities, and strategies that are here to help you succeed.

Registration will be open May 15 - July 19.

Capacity is limited, so plan to register early!

Reasons to participate

  • Build relationships with classmates, mentors, and advisors in your department.
  • Gain advice from upper division women students about classes and college life.
  • Explore new co-curricular, experiential learning, and leadership opportunities.
  • Discover academic and wellness support resources to contribute to your success.
  • Make connections through fun, team-building activities with the WIE community.

Move-in & orientation participation

This is a two-day long event, and we ask that registrants commit to fully participating on both days. It's recommended that you elect early arrival for a smoother move-in process and to get settled in before orientation and other activities during Welcome Week.
