Meet Saumya, a freshman majoring in Computer Science and a WIE Ambassador!
Q&A with Saumya:
Why did you become a WIE Ambassador? “I loved going to Women in Engineering events during high school, they really made me see how wonderful the Grainger community is, and now it's time for me to pass it forward!”
What is your favorite part about being a WIE Ambassador? “My favorite part is definitely connecting with prospective students! I love to talk about why I chose UIUC because it's truly the best place for me, and I hope to inspire others to come here too!”
What advice do you have for prospective students? “It's okay to be scared or nervous about college -- everyone feels that way! Take the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and trust in your ability to succeed.”
