Campus and Community Involvement
Mahima is a member of the club tennis team, Vice President of the National Organization of Business and Engineering (NOBE), and part of the iSchool Data Science Club (iDSC). Additionally, she serves on the executive board for Women in Computer Science (WCS).
Being a Part of the WIE Community
A great part of WIE is that it offers plenty of professional development opportunities. "Being part of the WIE community has been incredibly rewarding for me. It has exposed me to a supportive network of like-minded individuals and provided invaluable mentorship opportunities,” says Mahima. “Through WIE, I've attended workshops and seminars that have helped me stay updated on industry trends and develop new skills. Connecting with successful women in engineering has been inspiring and motivating." Through her involvement in WIE, Mahima is making the most of her professional experiences that will help her achieve a successful computer science career.
Being a WIE Orientation Mentor
Mahima is excited to give back to the community that supported her. "As a WIE Orientation mentor, I'm really excited to connect with new students and help them get started on their engineering journey,” she says. “I can't wait to share my experiences, offer guidance, and be a supportive resource for them. I hope that through the program, new students will feel a strong sense of community and belonging, and gain valuable insights into what lies ahead in the engineering field." Mahima looks forward to serving as a mentor and friend to the program’s new students.
