Being a Part of the WIE Community
Anna enjoys being someone others can look up to. Being involved with WIE for a while now, there is plenty of wisdom to pass down from her experience. She says, “I love being able to be a resource for younger girls in engineering and sharing my experience from the past two years. I think having a safe space to go to with questions is so important to have throughout your academic career.” It’s rewarding to be part of providing that safe space as well as contributing to the growth of new student engineers.
Being a WIE Orientation Mentor
“I'd love to meet new people and form friendships. I hope to create a place where the girls feel safe and confident to ask questions about starting school. I want to help smooth their transition and share what’s worked for me,” says Anna. As an Orientation Mentor, she creates an environment where students will benefit from the support of their peers in WIE.
