GFX Leadership Scholars
Connect with fellow first-year engineering students while exploring your interests and passions in leadership development
Incoming first-year engineering students selected as GFX (Grainger First-Year Experience) Leadership Scholars will be enrolled in ENG 177, a fall-semester one-credit hour course designed to foster essential professional skills. Through interactive workshops in a small cohort setting, scholars will develop teamwork, leadership, intercultural competence, and communication skills. They will put these skills into action through a community-engaged team project, designing and delivering a STEM lesson to local K-12 students.
