“I am currently working as a Software Engineer at MathWorks while pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science at Georgia Tech. In my role, I’m able to apply the technical and problem-solving skills I developed at UIUC, and my graduate students are allowing me to deepen my technical understanding in areas of interest.

Being part of the WIE Community was incredibly impactful for me. WIE Orientation helped me immediately find a group of intelligent, like-minded women in engineering who became my core support system throughout my ECE undergrad. My advice to students is to be courageous and curious about new opportunities, connections, and experiences. Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Apply to that internship, talk to that recruiter, join that organization. Build a strong support system and remember that every experience, even the challenging ones, will teach you something valuable.”
